Hamster Kombat, the game that had the participation of over 300 million active users, has revealed the next steps to follow after its successful but controversial airdrop. The Hamster Kombat team will focus on expanding its gaming integration and even include traditional Web3 elements like non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as part of its new direction.

In an updated roadmap revealed in its web portal, Hamster Kombat details that before 2025 its actions will be directed at making its platform more approachable for people outside Web3, putting the “integration of external payment systems into the game” as one of the relevant points.

Also, for November and December, besides the start of its second season, the team has planned the launch of the first titles from external developments within the Hamster Kombat ecosystem. In August, the project had already hinted at this direction, stating that it would work with the “leading games and industry leaders” to build a “sustainable ecosystem with firm token demand.” A marketable ad system for these games is also planned.

For 2025, Hamster Kombat expects the launch of “two major game titles with full token integration into the game economy,” the realization of a clan-based championship, and the expansion of the gaming ecosystem with partners to complete “more complex and costly development projects.” Also, an internal item NFT marketplace and the jump to desktop-based gaming are planned.

However, it is still to be seen if the team can fulfill these objectives, given that some users stated its token distribution became the “worst airdrop ever.” HMSTER had dropped by 30% during its first day of trading, reaching a market cap of $560 million.
