Ricardo Salinas, one of the wealthiest men in Mexico, has criticized Europe’s stance on cryptocurrency, comparing it to a museum and a zoo. In a recent interview on Lunaticoin’s podcast, Salinas stated that Europe was a museum because nothing happened there and there was no investment. Salinas also compared it to a zoo that kept citizens in cages, ready to be fed an upcoming central bank digital currency (CBDC). Salinas, known to be a bitcoin proponent, stressed that the top cryptocurrency was the right tool to escape the situation. “But there is a way, that’s why the world of bitcoin is like it abstracts you and you go to another universe. If you keep your savings in bitcoin and leave this universe, you can relocate anywhere with your value,” Salinas concluded.
