#Aave Founder Proposes Ethereum Foundation Reform#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reform suggestions for the Ethereum Foundation (EF)'s budget and operational structure, aiming to address the current issues of excessive spending and fund management, and achieve sustainable development. Kulechov suggested reducing the EF's annual budget from $130 million to $30 million, and controlling the number of employees to within 80, or even reducing it to 50. He believes that the EF's oversized team has led to communication gaps, and streamlining the team size can improve efficiency. Furthermore, Kulechov suggested optimizing the team structure, eliminating unnecessary positions, ensuring 80% of the team members are technical personnel, and dividing them into small 5-person technical teams, each focusing on a specific area. He also suggested establishing a 5-member leadership committee, selected based on ability, with Vitalik Buterin serving as the chairman. In terms of fund management, Kulechov suggested internalizing the fund management team, decentralizing treasury assets to low-risk long-term assets (LRSTs), DeFi projects, and Ethereum ecosystem profit-making projects, utilizing staking income to convert to stablecoins, and generating additional income through DeFi. He also suggested optimizing fund flow through Aave lending when ETH performs strongly. Finally, Kulechov suggested building a sustainable revenue model through transaction fees or staking income to support a reasonable EF budget. It is noteworthy that Vitalik Buterin also announced changes in the Ethereum Foundation's leadership, aiming to achieve five goals, which coincide with Kulechov's suggestions, indicating that the Ethereum Foundation is actively seeking reforms to address current challenges and achieve more sustainable development.
