#Aave Founder Suggests Reforms for the Ethereum Foundation#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reforms to the Ethereum Foundation (EF)'s budget and operating structure, sparking community debate. He believes the EF currently suffers from excessive spending, poor fund management, and other issues. He suggests reducing annual spending from $130 million to $30 million, limiting the number of employees to 80, and optimizing team structure by concentrating 80% of employees in technical fields and forming small technical teams focused on specific areas. Additionally, he proposes establishing a 5-person leadership committee chaired by Vitalik Buterin and enhancing fund management by diversifying investments into low-risk long-term assets, DeFi projects, and profitable projects in the Ethereum ecosystem. He suggests converting returns from staking into stablecoins and using DeFi to generate additional returns. Finally, Stani suggests establishing a sustainable revenue model by supporting a reasonable EF budget through transaction fees or staking rewards. Stani believes that the current EF team size is too large, leading to communication breakdowns, and streamlining the team size would increase efficiency and focus on long-term sustainable development. Notably, Vitalik Buterin also announced leadership changes within the Ethereum Foundation, aiming to achieve five goals, which aligns with Stani's proposals. This indicates that the Ethereum Foundation is actively seeking reforms to address current challenges and achieve more sustainable development.
