#Ethereum Foundation Reform#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing significant reform, a process that has been underway for nearly a year. The goal of the reform is to enhance the EF leadership's technical expertise, improve two-way communication with ecosystem participants (including users, application developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthen execution and speed, attract new talent, actively support application developers, and ensure the implementation of core values such as privacy, open source, and censorship resistance at the application level. Vitalik Buterin stated on Twitter that the EF will not pursue an ideological shift, nor will it excessively lobby regulators or political figures, and it will absolutely not turn itself into an arena for interest groups. He believes that the EF should utilize tools built within the ecosystem more, even if it may mean that the Ethereum Foundation does not appear entirely neutral in this regard. Some believe that the EF should be more actively involved in lobbying, but Vitalik Buterin argues that the EF should not directly engage in lobbying but should instead fund community-led covert operations to engage in lobbying.
