#Ethereum Foundation Adjusts Leadership#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing a significant leadership overhaul, a process that has been ongoing for nearly a year. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin announced this on social media, explaining the reasons and goals behind the changes. The main objectives include enhancing the EF leadership's technical expertise, improving two-way communication with ecosystem participants (including users, app developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthening execution and speed, attracting new talent, actively supporting app developers, and ensuring that core values such as privacy, open-source, and censorship resistance are implemented at the application layer.Buterin also emphasized that the EF will not pursue ideological shifts, nor will it engage in excessive lobbying of regulators or political figures, and it will absolutely not become an arena for special interest groups. He believes that the EF should utilize tools built within the ecosystem more, even if this means the EF may not appear completely neutral in this regard.This adjustment comes in the context of widespread criticism from the community in recent years, who have argued that the EF leadership lacks technical competency, has insufficient communication with ecosystem participants, is lacking in execution, and has a blurry vision for the future direction of Ethereum.
