Minister Marks will appoint a diverse advisory team of public sector stakeholders as she embarks on a comprehensive review of Jamaica’s governance framework, systems, and processes. Her goal is to implement targeted reforms that eliminate inefficiencies, reduce bureaucratic delays, and accelerate the speed of doing business.
For many Jamaicans, the frustrations of bureaucracy are most evident in everyday encounter, whether it’s the unresponsive tax offices, the difficulty of reaching a government entity by phone, or the poor customer service at public offices. The excessive paperwork and the constant need to resubmit information create small but cumulative challenges that ultimately cost citizens both time and money.
