According to Cointelegraph, California Congressman Sam Liccardo stated that the Democratic Party in the US House of Representatives is preparing to introduce the Modern Compensation and Misconduct Enforcement Act (MEME Act). This legislative draft will prohibit public officials and related personnel from issuing, sponsoring, or endorsing any securities, commodities, or digital assets. The bill is expected to be submitted on February 27th and involves the President, Vice President, members of Congress, senior executive officials, their spouses, and minor children. The bill has over a dozen Democratic proposers who are working hard to garner support from both parties.
