Everstake, a blockchain staking provider has successfully obtained the SOC 2 Type 1 certification, reinforcing its commitment to top-tier security and privacy standards. The independent compliance audit conducted by cybersecurity firm Prescient Security confirms Everstake’s adherence to enterprise-level security measures, safeguarding both institutional and individual stakers.
With Ethereum staking seeing a 74% increase, rising from 19.5M ETH in Jan. 2024 to 33.99M ETH in Jan. 2025, secure infrastructure is more critical than ever. The number of active validators has also grown by 16%, moving from 913,008 to 1.05 million, further highlighting the increasing reliance on staking services.
The SOC 2 certification bridges the gap between blockchain services and traditional enterprises, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats. This milestone underscores Everstake’s dedication to security, availability, and operational transparency, particularly as demand for staking solutions surges.
“Securing the SOC 2 attestation underscores Everstake’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest security standards are consistently upheld across all operations,” said Denys Avierin, Chief Information Officer at Everstake. “With the rising demand for staking services, our mission is to pave the way for Web3 innovation while protecting token holders and inspiring the industry to adopt the best cybersecurity practices.”
Everstake continues to play a pivotal role in blockchain security, operating across 80+ networks with over 735,000 delegators. By securing SOC 2 certification, Everstake not only enhances trust in staking services but also sets a benchmark for cybersecurity in the decentralized finance ecosystem.
