Following Microstrategy’s latest purchase announcement, Semler said that between Dec. 16, 2024, and Jan. 10, 2025, the company acquired 237 BTC for $23.3 million at an average cost of $98,267 per BTC. These purchases were funded through operating cash flow and proceeds from an at-the-market (ATM) offering.

As of Jan. 10, Semler Scientific holds 2,321 BTC, valued at $191.9 million, with an average purchase price of $82,687 per BTC, including associated fees. The company’s ATM program has raised $121.8 million in gross proceeds to date. On Dec. 16, 2024, Semler expanded its ATM offering by an additional $50 million, increasing the total to $150 million.

This program is part of a broader strategy to fund bitcoin acquisitions and other operational needs. Semler Scientific further reports a bitcoin yield of 99.3% since adopting its bitcoin treasury strategy in July 2024. The company utilizes this metric as a key performance indicator to assess the effectiveness of its approach, which it believes is accretive to stockholders.

As Semler Scientific continues to integrate bitcoin into its financial strategy, it underscores the growing intersection of cryptocurrency and traditional business operations.
