My Desire for Monster-Hunting Grows
As I continue exploring Web3 games and riding the high of catching monsters, I started searching for another game with a similar format. That’s when I stumbled upon Seekers of Tokane, a game developed by Aurory.
It’s not a newly released game this year, but the name Seekers of Tokane is already quite popular in the blockchain gaming space. I couldn’t help but wonder— and naturally, I was intrigued and wanted to dive in to find out what makes it stand out.

Seekers of Tokane is an immersive JRPG that takes you on an exciting journey through vibrant landscapes teeming with magical creatures called Nefties. As you explore the vast world of Aurory, you’ll have the opportunity to collect, train, and trade these mystical beings while engaging in strategic battles. Your adventure begins in the village of Blanche, where you can customize your character with various unique options.

This definitely answers my initial question about why Seekers of Tokane has gained so much popularity in the Web3 gaming space—their community is incredibly active. If you check out their official X (formerly Twitter) account, you’ll see that they’re constantly hosting events. On top of that, many content creators are live-streaming the game as well, adding to the excitement and engagement around it.
It also operates on the Solana blockchain and features its own native token called AURY. This token plays a central role within the game’s ecosystem, allowing players to engage in various in-game activities, such as trading, staking, and earning rewards. I recently unlocked three lands while playing the game, each offering the chance to face different types of Nefties. These encounters really put my strategic skills to the test, making each battle feel unique and challenging.
Test your strategy and foresight in intense 1-v-1 Neftie duels. The innovative three-action, turn-based combat system redefines the traditional genre, making mastery of Blitz Battles crucial for success. Each encounter demands strategic thinking and a thorough understanding of your Nefties’ abilities to outwit and outmaneuver your opponents. Blitz combat’s complexity ensures that every battle feels rewarding and presents a fresh challenge.
While unlocking the three lands, I won two battles but also experienced a defeat. It’s all part of the process, though—it’ll help me refine my strategy for the next time I play.
Nefties are unique creatures, each with their own abilities, stats, and rarity. They accompany players on their journeys, fighting under their command. As you level them up, you unlock their full potential, bringing them closer to victory. Building a diverse squad of Nefties enables players to create adaptable teams capable of handling any challenge. Training and evolving Nefties is key to defeating tougher enemies and advancing further in the game.
While exploring the three lands, I was lucky enough to find two eggs, which I hatched using an incubator. It’s so much fun and exciting to see the surprise of what kind of Neftie you’ll get! I also leveled up my first Neftie, which is a Dip King. That felt like a big accomplishment in the game!
Initial Thoughts on Seekers of Tokane
My overall experience playing Seekers of Tokane has been fantastic! The graphics are impressive, and the background music adds a great vibe to the gameplay. The game mechanics are straightforward, making it easy to understand how everything works. It’s also convenient to access since it’s available through a browser on a laptop or computer. However, as a beginner without a desktop, I did notice some buffering due to the high-quality graphics. Aside from that, everything else was smooth and enjoyable!
