#Trump officially assumes presidency#

Donald Trump will be officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States at 10:30 PM Beijing time on January 20th, and will return to the White House. The inauguration ceremony will include a formal swearing-in ceremony, musical performances, a celebratory parade and a series of formal balls. Trump's inauguration ceremony will be held on the main stage at the West Lawn of the US Capitol, with musical performances and opening remarks beginning at 9:30 AM EST. Trump and Pence will then take their oaths of office, and the President will deliver an inaugural address outlining his goals for the next four years. Trump will then go to the President's office near the Senate to sign important documents and attend a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Later that evening, Trump will attend three inaugural balls - the Commander-in-Chief's Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball and the Stars and Stripes Ball, and is expected to give speeches at all three events.
