#Ethereum Foundation Reform#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing a major reform, a process that has been ongoing for nearly a year. The reform aims to enhance the technical capabilities of its leadership, improve two-way communication with various stakeholders in the ecosystem (including users, application developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthen execution and speed, attract new talent, actively support application developers, and ensure that core values such as privacy, open source, and censorship resistance are implemented in the application layer. Vitalik Buterin emphasizes that the EF will not pursue an ideological shift, nor will it excessively lobby regulators or political figures, and it will absolutely not turn itself into an arena for special interest groups. Specific measures of the reform include: bringing in new talent, improving execution capabilities and speed, more actively supporting application developers, and ensuring that important values and inalienable rights (especially privacy, open source, and resistance to censorship) are real for users, including the application layer, continuing to increase support for decentralized and privacy technologies and the use of the Ethereum chain, including for payment and fund management. The reform does not aim to: implement any kind of ideological/atmospheric shift, begin actively lobbying regulators and powerful political figures (especially in the US, but indeed anywhere, particularly major powers), and risk damaging Ethereum's status as a global neutral platform, become an arena for vested interests, become a highly centralized organization, or even become the "protagonist" of Ethereum.
