#Ethereum Developer Meeting Discusses Pectra Devnet 5#

The 203rd All Core Developers Execution (ACDE) meeting primarily focused on the launch of Pectra Devnet 5 and the outstanding updates to the Pectra specifications. The meeting also covered the next steps for testing the increased gas limit on the Holesky testnet, RPC standardization efforts, and specifications for minimum node hardware and bandwidth requirements. The Pectra testnet upgrade plan proposes preparing client versions for Sepolia and Holesky testnets by February 3rd, with the fork planned for the mid to late February period. Barring any significant issues, the Pectra upgrade is anticipated to go live on mainnet in early to mid-March. Pectra Devnet 5 has been launched and system contract audits have been completed without any major issues. The meeting also discussed Pectra specification updates, including EIP 7623, EIP 7840, EIP 7691, EIP 2537, and EIP 7702. EIP 7623 has been merged on GitHub and included in Pectra Devnet 5 testing. EIP 7840 is planned to be merged by January 20th. It was decided that EIP 7691's blob base fee calculation should be activated one block after the fork boundary. The specification modification for EIP 2537 is planned to be finalized by January 20th. EIP 7702 requires further evaluation. The meeting also recommended setting the Holesky default gas limit to 36m.
