#Myanmar's Northern Telecom Fraud Group Eliminated#

The Ministry of Public Security recently held a press conference to announce the latest progress in cracking down on telecom network fraud crimes involving Myanmar's northern region. By the end of 2024, a total of over 53,000 Chinese suspects involved in fraud had been apprehended. The notorious "Four Major Families" criminal group in Kachin State, Myanmar, had been completely dismantled, and all large-scale telecom fraud parks in the northern region of Myanmar bordering China had been eradicated. The special campaign has achieved significant interim results, leading to a substantial decrease in the number of telecom network fraud cases and losses nationwide. Currently, the cases involving the "Four Major Families" criminal group have gradually entered the litigation stage. Despite the significant achievements in combating and governing these crimes, the current criminal situation remains severe and complex. Fraudulent groups are constantly updating and upgrading their criminal tools by utilizing new technologies such as blockchain, virtual currency, and AI intelligence, leading to an escalation of the offensive and defensive confrontation.
