#Myanmar's Northern Telecom Fraud Group Eliminated#

The Ministry of Public Security recently held a press conference to introduce the significant interim results of the special campaign to crack down on telecommunications and network fraud crimes involving China in northern Myanmar. Since the launch of the special operation in July 2023, the public security organs have arrested over 53,000 Chinese suspects involved in fraud crimes, completely dismantling the notorious "Four Major Families" criminal group in Kachin State, northern Myanmar. The large-scale fraud parks in northern Myanmar near the Chinese border have been completely eradicated. Currently, the cases involving the "Four Major Families" criminal group have gradually entered the litigation stage. Despite the significant achievements, the criminal situation remains severe and complex. Fraudulent groups are constantly updating and upgrading their criminal tools using new technologies such as blockchain, virtual currency, and AI intelligence, leading to an escalation of the offensive and defensive confrontation.
