#Wallet Containing 430 BTC Discovered#

Coinbase's Director of Product Strategy and Business Operations, Conor Grogan, recently tweeted that he had discovered approximately 430 Bitcoin distributed across multiple wallets associated with Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road. These Bitcoins were not confiscated by the US government and have been untouched for over 13 years. These wallets were likely "dust wallets" at the time, but now their total value is approximately $47 million. Grogan quipped that he was unsure if Ross still retained the private keys to these wallets and reminded him not to forget to check his (BCH) airdrop rewards. These Bitcoins were likely accumulated during the operation of Silk Road, when Ulbricht, as the website's operator, obtained a large amount of Bitcoin through illegal activities such as drug trafficking and money laundering. Since these wallets were likely "dust wallets" at the time, they were not confiscated by the US government. Now, with the skyrocketing price of Bitcoin, the value of these "dust wallets" has also skyrocketed. If Ulbricht can still find the private keys to these wallets, he will have the opportunity to recover this substantial asset.
