This action led to a 20% surge in DOGE's price. However, the website's content was incredibly sparse, containing only 18 words and a Dogecoin meme, prompting public scrutiny. Subsequently, the Department of Government Efficiency replaced the logo with another Shiba Inu illustration, previously shared by Musk on X platform. While the new logo still retains the Shiba Inu element, it no longer utilizes the Dogecoin logo, suggesting the government might aim to distance itself from Dogecoin to avoid further controversy.
