### Vitalik Responds to Foundation Controversy#

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently responded to the controversy surrounding the Ethereum Foundation (EF) leadership changes on social media. He stated unequivocally that the decision-making power of the new EF leadership team currently rests with him. The ongoing reforms are aimed at introducing a formal board of directors to the Foundation, but until then, decision-making authority remains with him personally. Vitalik criticized the pressure tactics on social media, stating that they are damaging the work environment for talented developers and making EF management more difficult. He pointed out that such behavior is not only unhelpful in achieving goals but also reduces his interest in catering to these demands. Furthermore, he defended Aya Miyaguchi against accusations, stating that the relevant quotes have been mistranslated and criticizing the attacks against her as "pure malice." Vitalik also stated that the EF should focus on the core areas of Ethereum where it can effectively represent itself while creating space for other organizations, such as Consensys or similar entities, to develop other aspects of the ecosystem in more suitable forms. He further added that some of these areas might even be better suited for profit-driven operations.
