#Musk's Efficiency Department Sued#

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has been hit with three lawsuits since President Trump's inauguration, alleging violations of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, citing a lack of transparency and oversight. Plaintiffs argue that DOGE is a "shadow agency" led by "unelected billionaires," potentially making decisions that impact millions of Americans without proper transparency or accountability. The suits also accuse DOGE of lacking diversity and balance in its membership, which is dominated by tech industry executives, failing to represent the interests of ordinary Americans. Despite Musk's earlier statement that all DOGE actions would be publicly available online to ensure transparency, plaintiffs claim that much of the group's communication is conducted through the encrypted app Signal, lacking public accessibility. Attorney McClanahan, representing the plaintiffs, argues that DOGE may be making short-sighted decisions due to a lack of federal staff perspective, emphasizing that "government work is not the same as running a business." Musk, Trump, and their representatives have yet to respond to the lawsuits.
