#Aave founder suggests reforming the Ethereum Foundation.#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reforms to the Ethereum Foundation (EF)'s budget and operating structure, aimed at addressing the EF's current high spending and fund management issues and achieving sustainable development. Kulechov believes that the EF should cut its annual spending from $130 million to $30 million and limit the number of employees to 80, or even 50. He also suggested streamlining the team structure, firing unnecessary positions, including executives, advisors, part-time roles, and interns, ensuring that 80% of the team are technical personnel, and dividing them into small 5-person technical teams, each focusing on a specific area. In addition, Kulechov proposed establishing a 5-person leadership committee, selected based on ability, with Vitalik as chairman. In terms of fund management, Kulechov suggested internalizing the fund management team, decentralizing treasury assets to low-risk long-term assets (LRSTs), DeFi projects and Ethereum ecosystem profit-making projects, using staking rewards to convert to stablecoins, and obtaining additional income through DeFi; when ETH performs well, optimize fund flow through Aave lending. Finally, Kulechov proposed building a sustainable revenue model through transaction fees or staking rewards to support a reasonable EF budget. Kulechov emphasized that the current team size is too large and prone to communication breakdowns, suggesting a streamlined and more efficient scale, focusing on long-term sustainable development. Notably, Vitalik Buterin also announced changes in the Ethereum Foundation leadership, stating that it aims to achieve five goals.
