#Aave Founder Proposes Ethereum Foundation Reform#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reform suggestions regarding the Ethereum Foundation (EF)'s budget and operational structure. He believes that the EF currently has excessive spending and fund management issues, suggesting that the annual expenditure be reduced from $130 million to $30 million, the number of employees be limited to 80, and the team structure be optimized to ensure that 80% of the team members are technical personnel. He recommends establishing a 5-person leadership committee chaired by Vitalik Buterin and strengthening fund management by diversifying investments into low-risk long-term assets, DeFi projects, and profitable projects in the Ethereum ecosystem, converting staking rewards into stablecoins, and generating additional income through DeFi. He also proposes establishing a sustainable revenue model to support the EF's budget through transaction fees or staking rewards. Stani emphasizes that the current large team size can easily lead to communication breakdowns, proposing a streamlining to a more efficient size and focusing on long-term sustainable development. Notably, Vitalik Buterin has also announced changes to the Ethereum Foundation's leadership, aiming to achieve five objectives, which aligns with Stani's suggestions, indicating that the Ethereum Foundation is actively seeking reform to better address future development challenges.
