Odaily Planet Daily News: A spokesperson for the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency confirmed that cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, can be used as proof of assets when applying for a "Capital Investment Entrant Scheme" visa. This visa requires applicants to prove a net worth of at least HKD 30 million (approximately USD 3.8 million) within a specific period of time. Once the visa is approved, the applicant must invest an additional HKD 30 million for the so-called 'approved assets'. A spokesperson for Invest Hong Kong confirmed that cryptocurrency is not considered an "approved asset" under visa requirements. (CoinDesk)
