Joint statement from the United States, Japan, and South Korea: North Korea stole approximately $660 million worth of cryptocurrency in 2024

According to ajunews, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has jointly issued a statement on its official website with the United States and Japan, explaining North Korea's alleged involvement in cryptocurrency theft cases and emphasizing the importance of public-private sector cooperation. According to a tripartite organization, North Korea stole approximately $660 million in cryptocurrency in 2024. This includes $308 million stolen from DMM Bitcoin, $50 million stolen from Upbit, $16.13 million stolen from Rain Management, $235 million stolen from WazirX, and $50 million stolen from Radiant Capital.
