According to News.bitcoin, Dogecoin recently suffered a vulnerability attack that severely affected its node structure, known as the "Dogereaper". It is reported that Sequentia developer Andreas Kohl caused 69% of Dogecoin nodes to crash using only one old laptop from El Salvador. Although this attack severely affected Dogecoin nodes, the situation could have been even worse: Ecash developer Tobias Ruck and another developer Roqqit have already disclosed the vulnerability. Tobias Ruck stated that he first discovered this vulnerability while developing Doged (a replacement for Dogecoin Core), and during porting code testing for their replacement software, he discovered an uncorrected segmentation fault in the original code. Tobias Ruck explained, "We will not tolerate node crashes. We have put in a lot of effort to ensure network security, and this attack may be even more severe. All important stakeholders, such as miners, exchanges, etc., were patched before the attack occurred, which shows how important it is for us to act cautiously
