According to Guangming Net, Ms. Cheng and her boyfriend in Hefei were preparing to sell their virtual currency USDT. An old friend named Sun approached them and wanted to buy the currency, but an accident occurred during the virtual currency transaction.
It is reported that the amount of USDT involved in this case reached over 277000. After the transaction was completed, Ms. Cheng was informed that more than 2 million in cash was brought by two friends of Mr. Sun, and the virtual currency had to be transferred to their accounts to complete the transaction. Ms. Cheng's virtual currency had already been transferred to Mr. Sun's account, and Mr. Sun claimed that his phone had been infected with a virus and that U currency was prohibited from being transferred to the accounts of the two friends of Mr. Sun. The two then argued for Ms. Cheng to repay the money, so Mr. Sun called the police, who also arrived at the scene. Ms. Cheng believes that this is a trap set by the three of them working together. Both sides hold their own opinions, and Ms. Cheng is unwilling to mediate with the other party. According to the latest situation from the Xinzhan Branch of Hefei Public Security Bureau, the police have filed an investigation for fraud in this case, and Ms. Cheng has received a notice of filing.
