According to Immunefi's latest report, in January 2025, the encryption industry lost $73.9 million due to hacker attacks, involving 19 security incidents, a 9-fold increase compared to the previous month. But compared to the $133 million loss in January 2024, it decreased by 44.6%.
Among them, the Singapore centralized exchange Phemex was hacked, resulting in a loss of $69.1 million, and the DeFi options platform Moby Trade suffered a loss of $2.5 million due to a vulnerability attack. In addition, multiple projects such as Orange Finance, UniLend Finance, and The Idols NFT have also been attacked to varying degrees.
In terms of on chain losses, BNB Chain became the most attacked network, accounting for 50% of the total losses, Ethereum accounted for 25%, Arbitrarum and Base each suffered two attacks, and Optimism suffered one attack.
