CFTC subcommittee proposes allowing companies to use tokenized stocks as collateral

BlockBeats news, on October 3rd, according to CoinDesk, after a major group supported by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) approved guidelines for the use of tokenized money market funds, companies such as BlackRock and Franklin Templeton may see their tokenized stocks of money market funds used for trading. According to two informed sources, a subcommittee of the CFTC Global Market Advisory Committee has voted to submit these recommendations to the full committee, and it is expected that the committee will vote on these recommendations later this year. The report did not disclose specific recommendations, but simply sending the recommendations to the committee can be seen as the next step.
