OmegaPro Lianchuang was arrested in Türkiye on suspicion of participating in US $4 billion encryption fraud

Odaily Planet Daily News - Andreas Szakacs, the co-founder of OmegaPro, was arrested in Türkiye in July on suspicion of participating in a $4 billion Ponzi scheme for cryptocurrencies. Szakacs has been naturalized in Türkiye and changed its name to Emre Avci. Türkiye authorities seized computers and 32 cold wallets during the raid, and traced about 160 million dollars of cryptocurrency capital flows. OmegaPro reportedly collapsed at the end of 2022, following regulatory warnings from multiple countries. A Dutch investor claiming to represent 3000 victims claimed that these investors lost a total of $103 million. （Coindesk）
