Wu learned that according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Henry Jim, BlackRock has applied to establish a digital stock category called DLT Shares for its $150 billion money market fund. This type of shares is intended to be sold through Bank of New York Mellon and plans to use blockchain technology to synchronize the recording of holder information, possibly in preparation for future applications of digital currency or digital cash.
