It took nine years of planning and investment to strengthen Jamaica’s security. We expanded and upgraded the JDF, doubled its size, and improved training and equipment. At the same time, we transformed the police force with better vehicles, communication, training, and intelligence. The JCF today is not what it was a decade ago. Criminals must understand, they are no longer operating in the same environment. I’ve warned them clearly, and when consequences come, the country will know they had fair notice.
