According to Golden Finance, US federal prosecutors have submitted over 200 victim statements to the Manhattan Federal Court, accusing Alex Mashinsky, founder and former CEO of Celsius Network. These statements detail the economic losses and impact on users' lives caused by the Celsius crash. Mashinsky pleaded guilty in December 2023 to one count of commodity fraud and one count of securities fraud, with a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Most victims are demanding the maximum sentence from the court, but there are also a few who are calling for lighter treatment. Mashinsky's sentencing will be announced on May 8th, and his defense team requests a maximum of 366 days in prison.
