JPMorgan's Chief Market Strategist Dubravko Lakos stated in an interview with CNBC that if US tariffs remain tight, risk market volatility may persist for a longer period of time. And it is currently uncertain whether the market will hit a new low, the key still depends on the progress of tariff negotiations.
Moreover, Dubravko Lakos believes that it is possible to seize opportunities to buy stocks of high-quality companies rather than "value stocks".
Under the assumption of maintaining high tariffs, JPMorgan Chase has lowered its year-end target for the S&P 500 from 6500 points to 5200 points. Currently, the S&P 500 is at 5443 points. Based on this expectation, there is not much room for the S&P 500 to actually decline from now on.
