US core CPI lower than expected, hitting a four-year low

According to a report by Golden Ten, the non quarterly core CPI annual rate in the United States in March was 2.8%, falling for the second consecutive month and reaching the lowest level since March 2021, lower than market expectations of 3.0%. The seasonally adjusted core CPI rate for March in the United States was 0.1%, hitting a new low since June 2024 and falling short of market expectations of 0.3%.
