At the time of my statement here last Friday, the latest report from the Commissioner of Police showed that murders were down by 35%. The latest report is showing a further decline of 35.9%. We ended 2024 with almost 19% fewer murders than in 2023, and 2023 was already 7% lower than 2022. These numbers show that we are making real progress.
