Thrilled to share that @kevinweil, chief product officer of OpenAI,  will serve as an advisor to me and Circle.  Kevin’s career has spanned leading and building some of the most transformative platforms of the last two decades — from building Twitter into a global utility, to helping scale products at Instagram, to shaping the vision for the Libra project as co-creator of Novi at Facebook/Meta.  Kevin now leads product at OpenAI, another incredibly important platform for advancing the world. It was during his time at Meta working on Libra and Novi that I first got to know Kevin, and it was immediately clear to me that we shared a vision for what a future internet financial system could become. Kevin’s decision to be an advisor for me and Circle brings his journey full circle (pun intended). He gets to pick up threads he left behind, and help Circle think through its strategy as we navigate transformative technological and economic forces. We believe the internet needs an open, programmable money layer that works at internet scale — and Kevin’s tremendous experience in building category-defining internet platforms gives us another edge.
