Trump cannot be "Volckering himself" or "pulling a Reagan" if he is simultaneously trying to publicly coerce the Fed into cutting rates on a day with blowout job figures and overhanging inflationary tariff risk. Reagan and Volcker were aligned. That's why it was effective.
