Bitcoin volatility index approaches its highest level in a year in March

According to Forbes, in March, a measure of Bitcoin price volatility reached its highest level in nearly a year, and the value of Bitcoin experienced significant fluctuations that month. According to data compiled by asset management company Blockforce Capital, on March 24th, Bitcoin's 30 day annualized volatility climbed to 71.28%, reaching its highest value since April 14, 2024. The volatility of Bitcoin prices in March was in stark contrast to the previous month, with the 30 day annualized volatility of Bitcoin dropping to 30.98% on February 23rd.
