Every one of us accesses the Internet via a series of privileged, increasingly monitored, centralized access gates. BTC mining and control of supply are being centralized with entities whose incentives are to comply with government. Bitcoin's "unconfiscatable" and censorship resistant properties are effectively only against those entities that lack sufficient authoritative muscle to intervene. They are not infinite and absolute. If the US govt would ever be so bold as to confiscate private property via emergency declaration, as they have with gold or land in the past, BTC would probably also be on their list. The biggest collected pools would be most at risk. A few people might be able to hide some of their self custodied holdings, but not all of them- not on a public ledger. And most average people would not be willing to sacrifice their safety nor livelihoods over it. They would crumble under the pressure and fear and take their govt payout. Do not become so confident as to be complacent. In a scenario of maximum shit hitting the fan, all rules of decorum are off.
