According to FT, EU regulators announced a proposal on Thursday to impose a 100% capital requirement on European insurance companies holding cryptocurrencies. This is the strictest capital regulation in EU history for Bitcoin and other digital assets, aimed at restricting insurance institutions from entering the cryptocurrency sector. Currently, most EU insurance companies allocate only about 60% to 80% of their capital to their cryptocurrency assets. As of the end of 2023, EU insurance institutions hold a total of 655 million euros in cryptocurrency assets, accounting for less than 0.01%. The proposal is still awaiting approval from the European Commission. https://www. (wublock123.com)/index.php? m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=40164
