What many don’t realize is volatility is an essential part of an outperforming asset. Literally impossible to not have violent moves up and down. Why? If an asset only goes up, it will attract speculators and leverage, causing it to go up even faster. Then at some point the speculative force runs out of steam and the bubble deflates. If Bitcoin were up-only, you would have been front-ran by much more sophisticated actors and wouldn’t have been able to accumulate. Vol is your friend.
