According to Golden Finance, US Senator Elizabeth Warren has sent a 34 page inquiry letter to Paul Atkins, the nominee for SEC chairman, regarding his association with the bankrupt cryptocurrency trading platform FTX and potential conflicts of interest arising from Trump's issuance of Memecoin. Warren pointed out in the letter that Patomak Global Partners, a consulting firm founded by Atkins, provided advisory services to FTX in 2022 and has clients from multiple banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and DeFi platforms. He also joined the advisory committee of The Digital Chamber, a blockchain industry association, in 2020. Warren questioned whether Atkins' close relationship with crypto clients would affect its stance on crypto regulation and questioned whether it had directly provided advice to former FTX CEO SBF. Atkins will attend the Senate Banking Committee's nomination hearing on Thursday. Currently, Patomak Global Partners has not commented on this matter.
