According to BlockBeats, on March 25th, Singapore's cryptocurrency trading platform DigiFT announced the launch of the world's first index fund that fully tokenizes and trades fund shares and underlying stocks on the blockchain, initially only open to qualified investors and institutional investors. DigiFT has partnered with investment firm Hash Global to launch two index funds: one tracks leading companies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) such as Apple, Tesla, and Microsoft, and the other tracks mainstream cryptocurrency assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The fund will achieve subscription and redemption through smart contracts and stablecoins, replacing the roles of traditional securities firms, banks, and custodians, enabling round the clock asset trading, transparent on chain holdings, and high liquidity.
