According to Bloomberg, Coinbase is in talks to acquire Deribit, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, and has notified Dubai regulators that Deribit has a local license that the acquirer will take over. Previously, Coinbase competitor Kraken announced this week that it would acquire retail futures platform NinjaTrader for $1.5 billion, with plans to go public as early as the first quarter of next year.
