👀 PumpSwap Quick Test: Semi finished Product?
It seems that there hasn't been much time between the release of Pump Fun and the launch of its own AMM Swap beta version today.
It seems that in the face of wealthy pump fun, all technical difficulties are not a problem. There are rumors in the community that replicating AMM technology on Solana is very difficult, and the current leader Raydium does not open source its own core AMM code.
So, how is the completion rate of the quick launch pump swap?
After a quick test, my subjective rating is as follows:
1. Swap function: 8 points (fast, minimalist, high usability)
2. Pool function: 3 points (Create is fine, but cannot withdraw) 😳)
Below, we will briefly discuss this Pump Swap from three levels
one ️⃣ Swap core features (8/10 points)
*The page style is minimalist (with a cold and aloof style, to the point where it can be described as rudimentary)
*The core Swap function is fully available
*Default sliding point, online speed (priority fee setting), and MEV anti pinch function are all included
In actual testing (using SOL ->USDC), the speed is completely acceptable.
Compute Units Consumption Comparison (Pump Swap vs Jupiter):
107,950 vs 95,427
Swap Fees Consumption (Pump Swap vs Jupiter):
0.05% vs 0%
According to the official introduction, the specific fees are as follows:
For each transaction, the platform charges a fee of 0.25%, including:
Pump Swap platform retention: 0.05%
Liquidity provider LPer charges: 0.2%
If compared to Raydium, a 0.25% handling fee is charged for each transaction:
Retention on Raydium platform: 0.03%
LPer charges: 0.22%
It can be seen that Pump Swap, as an AMM platform, has retained more revenue. Considering Pump Swap's future plans to provide additional revenue to token creators, I estimate that 0.02% of the retained 0.05% should be allocated to token dev, in order to maintain at least the same level of protocol revenue as Raydium.
Of course, it cannot be ruled out that Pump Swap will show mercy and cut more cake for Token Dev.
two ️⃣ LP Experience (3/10 points)
When I first saw the official announcement, I was thinking that now Pump Swap is also running AMM, which means there is only an opportunity for LP, so I couldn't wait to experience it.
Open the page, and the Deposit/Create on the right side of the Swap navigation bar at the top corresponds to the traditional AMM term: add liquidity/create liquidity pool.
Let's start with the creation process. On the Create page, select two types of tokens and enter the corresponding amount yourself. There won't be any additional prompts here (did I create the SOL/USDC trading pair first?)
Adding liquidity here, without a price range selection similar to Uniswap V3, can we speculate that its underlying is the AMM V2 model based on X * Y=K?
I attempted to submit a pool creation transaction and successfully went on chain, showing that I received an SPL Token.
However, the problem arises:
You can create it, but it cannot be displayed correctly on the Withdraw page, nor can you withdraw funds.
It seems that there are still bugs that have not been resolved. It is strongly recommended that on chain active bodhisattvas who want to provide liquidity first test with small funds and then consider investing large funds to drink this first sip of soup.
After all, if the funds are stuck in the contract and cannot be withdrawn, it will be like crying without tears (but I am willing to believe that such a low-level bug should be resolved quickly).
three ️⃣ Pump Swap Core Advantages
From the perspective of Swap/LP user experience, there is no refreshing feeling, let alone any essential features (even the LP experience is very poor).
However, as an important part of the subsequent Swap for accepting Pump Fun coin issuance, Pump Swap has some unique advantages:
1. After graduating (meeting market value and liquidity requirements), the tokens issued by Pump Fun can be migrated in real-time to the Pump Swap pool, which is a seamless connection
2. Exemption from the 6 SOL fees previously charged for launching to Raydium (significant benefit! The cost of shipping plates is almost reduced to zero)
3. There will be a Creator Revenue Sharing program in the future, where your coins will always earn transaction fees for any transaction on Pump Swap (which is truly tempting)
In summary, there are zero second migration, zero cost migration, and commission rebates for handling fees.
So, the most attractive user group is actually the dev dog village that issues coins/plates on pump fun.
🪧 conclusion
1. Extremely positive news for Pump Fun, plate distribution, DEV group
2. Basic Swap Function: Can be used
3. LP function: Do not use temporarily
So here comes the question...:
Can Pump Swap Remake the Glory of Solana Meme? I'm really looking forward to it.
