According to the official announcement of Upbit, there have been recent media reports that Upbit is involved in intermediary fees in supporting digital asset trading. Regarding this, Upbit declares as follows:
1. Upbit does not charge any fees as a condition for transaction support. Upbit evaluates projects through strict internal review processes and never provides trading support under any financial compensation conditions. Upbit's trading support decisions follow the "Trading Support Policy" on the official website. The specific decision-making process is as follows: submitting a trading support application, preliminary/simplified review, formal evaluation, decision-making by the Trading Support Review Committee, and initiating trading support.
2. Beware of illegal intermediaries and false information. Upbit does not allow external agencies to assist or provide intermediary trading support, and all programs are handled directly by Upbit employees. Therefore, any company or individual claiming to guarantee Upbit transaction support and requesting payment of intermediary fees is considered an illegal intermediary, and Upbit specifically reminds users to beware of such behavior.
3. Request the media to clarify the allegations. Upbit requests Wu Blockchain to publicly disclose a list of digital asset projects related to payment intermediary fees, and provide relevant evidence to verify the facts and initiate an investigation. If illegal intermediary behavior is discovered, Upbit will take strong measures including legal action.
4. Reporting channels. If users receive intermediary fee proposals impersonating Upbit employees, partners, or representatives, please report them through the Upbit official website or the customer center of the mobile application.
