Nillion deserves a true Respect from hearing to action! This time, give a round of applause to Nillion! The essence of airdrops is not just rewards, but a bridge of trust. However, there is a core issue with current airdrops: the trust between project parties and communities is severed, and there is a huge gap in understanding of airdrops. The project team hopes to reward "real users" and "contributors", but they are trapped in a maze of rules regarding the presumption of guilt for users. When you assume that the majority of users are speculators, your anti witch mechanism and allocation rules are naturally unconvincing, ultimately not only harming early contributors and real users, but also weakening the ecological vitality. This is precisely the fundamental reason why many airdrops are unable to play a long-term constructive role. In the blockchain world, authenticity may be important, but consensus is even more important! In the eyes of the project team, airdrops may be a precise drip irrigation for contributors, while in the eyes of users, airdrops are a medal for their participation in building and maintaining consensus. The mismatch of interests between rule makers and community participants will inevitably lead to a crisis of trust, ultimately triggering a huge backlash in the community. Nillion's change this time is not just a stance adjustment, but also a complete transformation of consensus cognition - from "suspecting community cheating" to "respecting community consensus". Regardless of whether their changes are due to pressure or thoughtful decisions, regardless of their intentions, their actions deserve respect! In the current environment, such adjustments are particularly valuable. Many project parties either cut off a wave and run away, or simply pretend to be dead. Nillion could have chosen to ignore community demands, but they did not - they chose to listen and make changes. Listen, not show weakness, but show respect! This means that Nillion truly sees the community as partners rather than adversaries. They demonstrate not only short-term compromise, but also thinking about long-term ecological construction. After all, a project that is willing to modify the underlying rules for the community is more likely to truly respect the value of the builders. When the project team is willing to form a positive cycle of feedback iteration with the community, the self correction mechanism and long-term value of the ecosystem will truly emerge. The siphon effect and compound interest brought by this trust investment are worth learning for every project party who hopes to build for the long term. Listening to the voices of the community is the true triumph of the Web3 spirit! Looking back at history, from Bitcoin to Solana, the crown of top projects is woven from the voice of 'listening to the community'. Nillion may not have reached the summit yet, but a project that is willing to bow down to community consensus at least has the qualifications to reach the summit. In this industry, we are still debating the opposition between "VC coins" and "community coins", however, the two are not inherently contradictory and should not be a zero sum game. The true value of Nillion's change is to turn critics into co builders and compromise into co creation! So, this time, we applaud Nillion because it proves that valuing the community is the ultimate way for Web3 to move towards win-win outcomes!
