BlockBeats news, on March 19th, SlowMist posted that encrypted users need to be vigilant that browser extensions may be sold to malicious individuals without their knowledge. Malicious individuals can easily purchase a Chrome extension and hijack existing users' browsing traffic, redirecting it to anywhere they want. No alarms, no prompts. Unless new permissions are required, no abnormalities will be detected. In @ tuckner's investigation, it was found that an extension with 400000 users has changed owners. Stay alert.
