Venture capital fund a16z Crypto has appointed its General Counsel Miles Jennings as Policy Director. Founding general partner Chris Dixon announced the appointment on Tuesday and pointed out that former policy head Brian Quintenz will resign as he faces confirmation from the US Senate to become the next chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Miles Jennings has been serving as the General Counsel for a16z for over three years, having previously been a partner at Latham&Watkins law firm. Trump announced in February that he plans to select Quintenz to lead the CFTC and is currently awaiting approval from the Senate.
