According to official announcements, Web3 Chain Game Champions Ascension announced that its servers will be temporarily shut down as the development team shifts their focus to REACH Labs. This shutdown, which includes the Champions Ascension server as well as related features such as Imperial Expeditions and Dudo, took effect last Friday. The announcement states that the technology developed for REACH Labs is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of Champions Ascension, although a specific timeline for its return has not yet been provided. Although the game is temporarily suspended, the team has confirmed that KEYS rewards will still be distributed. It is reported that REACH Labs is a new web3 game publisher, co founded by Rough House Games (creator of Champions Ascension) and Overworld. The goal of REACH is to enhance game distribution by integrating blockchain technology and community participation. Previously in 2023, Champions Ascension completed a seed round financing of $32 million, led by a16z Games and a16z Crypto.
